Analox to Grow Design Team with New Recruits; MANUFACTURING

WORLD?RENOWNED developer and manufacturer of gas analysis equipment Analox Group is planning to double the size of its engineering design team next year, creating up to nine new jobs.

The company, based in Stokesley, North Yorkshire, is working on a number of new projects for which it needs to expand its engineering manpower.

It is advertising seven new posts, including three graduate roles and a new apprenticeship.

More jobs are expected to be announced in 2014.

In the second half of this year, Analox recruited 10 new members of staff, bringing its total number of employees to 52.

Its recent recruits, working in departments including sales, marketing, production and R&D, include two apprentices.

Holly King has joined the company as apprentice operations administrator, while Jack Price has come on board as apprentice R&D technician.

Price, 19, from Acklam in Middlesbrough, completed his A-levels in the summer and is now learning new skills on the job while attending college one day a week to study mechanical engineering.

He said: "Working for Analox is a challenge and I'm enjoying every minute.

"Not only do my colleagues teach me new skills - they're also keen to listen to my ideas.

"I'm the newest team member, but my contribution and input is always valued.

"It's also amazing to be working on the range of projects coming into the company."

Analox specialises in the design and manufacture of gas analysis equipment for commercial, military, agricultural and sport diving markets, as well as the hospitality industry.

It has more than 30 years' experience in breathing air analysis and has won a variety of awards for the likes of health and safety, and its export successes.

In recent months, it has completed a string of export deals, one of which opened up the sale of its products to a new market in New Zealand. …
