THE only Division One game was the Bedlington derby - and it was Barrington Arms who triumphed as they edged out The Wharton Arms 3-2. The Barrington took the lead midway through the first half, midfielder Chris Moffitt playing a great through ball for Dylan Williamson.

He made no mistake with a low driven finish into the bottom left-hand corner.

The Wharton grabbed a scrappy equaliser in the second half with a close-range finish from Curtis Taylor after Barrington failed to deal with a corner.

The lead was regained, though, shortly afterwards as a great free-kick into the box from Chris Moffitt was volleyed home by Josh Laverick.

The Wharton looked to have earned themselves a point when Scott Hume converted from the edge of the box with only minutes remaining - but there was still one more twist in this game.

Barrington substitute Shaun Cowell made a great surging run into the Wharton half before slipping in David Scott.

Scott's initial shot was parried away by goalkeeper Liam Douglas but the ball fell to the feet of Williamson, who made no mistake with a cool finish. …
