Junior Duo Ready to Take on the Best

ELITE riders won't be the only ones tearing up the Kevin Brogden Memorial Velodrome tonight and tomorrow with a crack field of junior cyclists ready for two days of competition.

Leading the way for Bundaberg will be under-17 riders Sean Boylan and Ryan Ford, both who have enjoyed -- for the most part -- fantastic results in 2013.

Sean's highlights were a seventh at the national titles in the 500m time trial and second in the points race held in Melbourne.

Sean and Ryan have travelled across the country in search of glory and with the amount of kilometres ridden there were bound to be some accidents. Sean's season was disrupted early with a broken arm and a serious crash on his home track in the middle of the year.

His first crash took the biggest toll on his body, but there was no way he would not get back on the bike.

"In February I broke my arm after dad (Ben) rode over it in a pile up in an Italian pursuit. He fell off and broke his collar bone," Sean said. …
