NO MAN is an island, but there comes a stage in every person's life when their thirst for romance is temporarily sucked out of them like a discarded juice-popper.

It is when the weight of being lonely doesn't outweigh the dread of riding the relationship roller-coaster.

The bachelor life is often frowned upon by impatient grandchild hungry parents and nosey work colleagues, but for the bachelor it can be a relief.

As I settle into short-term singledom, I find myself enjoying single life a little too much.

So before you think of leaving your island, consider these:

Time to work on yourself: Whether it be study or a new hobby, you now have time to improve yourself and not feel guilty about it.

No compromise: There is no bigger case for the single life than the no compromise lifestyle. The TV remote is now yours. Doing what you want, when you want is something every person in a relationships misses.

Valentine's Day costs less: Even in a relationship, where everyday costs are shared, you still save more money when you're single. …
