FIVE heats of the LJ Hooker Real Estate Sprint Series (407m) are among the highlights of the Grafton Greyhound race meeting this evening.

Among those chasing success will be Queensland trainer Dave Irwin who will race likely pre-series favourite He's Imposing.

He's Imposing has a massive motor as evidenced on Thursday afternoon when he produced a brilliant 22.79-second romp.

Stepping out from box seven on that occasion He's Imposing was characteristically moderately away at box rise. He quickly put paid to his rivals with acceleration rarely seen from a greyhound.

Within 20 metres he had gone from near last to a clear leader and he only increased his margin with each bound, eventually scoring by 9.25 lengths

Velodrome narrowly gets the nod on the strength of his smart 23.26sec victory at Grafton on Thursday.

Velodrome showed brilliant box speed, carving out a fast 8.33sec first section on that occasion. A repeat will ensure a comfortable leading once again and there is no better place to be in greyhound racing.

The runner that connections will be hoping doesn't settle in second position is Missile Flash as she is a strong-finishing type that has tasted success at Grafton over 480m.

It is however it is worth noting that she is yet to win at Grafton over 407m from five outings.

Heat 2 is another race which looks to be a match in two with the Reg Gardoll-trained Elavena and the Brooke Madigan-prepared Pepi Katona having plenty on their rivals in experience and wins. …
