I HAVE a very low pain threshold.

So the thought of going through childbirth in a few months scares the hell out of me.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been having some very vivid dreams, which is one of the many quirks and symptoms of being pregnant.

I am crossing my legs hoping that the sheer terror I am feeling will be enough to push the baby out with the greatest of ease.

This will not be the case.

According to many of my mummy sources, the pending doom of the labour room is expected.

I guess it comes back to the saying 'no pain, no gain'.

And believe me, there is so much to gain about being a mum.

But it is not just the delivery of the baby that has me freaked.

I have found that some days it is hard to get excited about anything, except for the chance of an afternoon kip. …
