Funny Old Fella; Rod Gregory Is on His Farewell Tour

ROD Gregory "The Old Fella" four years ago was forced into retirement due to back injuries, and reluctantly could not stay on his beloved farm and winery/vineyard.

Scared stiff of retirement, in May 2010, he enrolled in a 10-week comedy course to help him learn to create a caricature, wishing to write amusing short stories of his farming days.

On completion of the course, his tutor offered him a weekly spot in his Comedy Theatre. He soon gained enough confidence to have his own show in the 2011 Adelaide Fringe.

In 2011 Rod decided to attend the auditioning for TV show Australia's Got Talent, hoping for just two minutes on national television, to gain some profile as a comedian.

Quite to his amazement, he ended up in fourth place.

You can't believe what change the television profile has made to Rod's career. Since the final in July 2011, Rod has performed consistently throughout Australia.For an old farmer approaching his 70th birthday in April, his audiences, predominantly aged between 40 to 85 years, just seem to appreciate his good old fashioned country humour. …
