EAGLE Farm colt Vienna Royale will be on a dual mission when he looks to get his summer campaign back on track at Clifford Park today.

Vienna Royale is out to atone for a costly last-start Doomben failure and re-assert his Magic Millions claims in this evening's $75,000 Brisbane Bloodstock Hopeful Plate (1000m).

A win by the Falvelon youngster will also deliver trainer Tony Gollan a third victory in his former hometown two-year-old feature.

Gollan won last year's event with Whiskey Allround while he was also successful in the race with Groovy Miss.

Vienna Royale loomed into contention for next month's Magic Millions Two-Year-Old Classic at the Gold Coast with a booming win on debut at Doomben in October.

But after bungling the start and racing erratically in a costly first-up failure at Doomben on December 14, Vienna Royale was ordered by stewards to trial satisfactorily prior to its next start. …
