Injuries to the right side of the body were received by Geoffrey Schaeffer, 19-years-old, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Schaeffer, of Oliver street Grafton, when surfing at Yamba yesterday.

Schaeffer was struck by a surfboard. He was attended by the Maclean District Ambulance, and after receiving attention of a doctor, was admitted to the Lower Clarence Hospital.

A Grafton High school bot, Graham Bruce Cocks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Cocks, had gained an outstanding pass in the Leaving Certificate.

Graham gained two first class honours, and four A's.

His ambition is to pursue a career in economics either in the commercial field, or in Governmental appointment.

With that in view he has made application to enter university to study for a degree in economics.

Three vehicles were involved in an accident on the corner of Turf and Bacon streets, about 4.55 p.m. yesterday.

The accident occurred when a motor car being driven by Winnifred Harris, of Jackschon Avenue, Grafton, collided with another motor car driven by James Wheeler, of Mary street, Grafton. …
