FOR two Warwick car enhusiasts, driving in a 1920s Chevrolet is like travelling back in time.

Rose City car lovers Bevan Springate and Graeme Collins are the proud owners of a 1927 Chevrolet and a 1928 Chevrolet, both kept in original condition.

Mr Springate is the second generation owner of the 1927 Chevrolet, nicknamed Clive.

"The car came from Clifton, with my grandfather Clive Springate owning it before me," he said.

"I love the feeling of what it was like to drive back in the 1920s; it's like travelling back in time."

Not much is known about the history of the car, according to Mr Springate.

"If only cars could talk," he said.

"I'm sure it'd have a thing or two to say."

Complete with the original worn and torn hood, the classic car appears to be unchanged from 85 years ago.

The car is set to feature at a number of shows this year, Mr Springate says.

"We did the Moonshine Run at the Gold Rush in Pratten," he said. …
