GLEN Durrant plans to arrow his way straight back to the British Darts Organisation World Championships following his "special" Lakeside debut.

Power scorer Durrant is in a good place in terms of qualifying for next year's championship with 2014 only just begun after winning last year's England Classic and Northern Ireland Open and is already eager to get back there.

The 43-year-old who hit a nine darter in last June's England Open and also won the WDF World Cup with England said: "I'm not the best of losers and the initial disappointment of losing was terrible.

"The whole Lakeside experience was special.

"The crowd is right on top of you and it's a board I think I can do well on - you don't have to stretch with your throw.

"I've never been in this position before in January with so many ranking points in the bag.

"I'm going to analyse everything and I can't wait to get back on the practice board and try and get back there."

Well-supported Durrant had it pretty much all his own way against Day after the veteran New Zealand qualifier unexpectedly shut out star-struck Hampshire youngster Sam Head in the preliminary round.

He continued to show his class in the second round against Norris but was largely unable to knock the rhythm player out of his flow, no matter how hard he tried. …
