A Busy Time for Tobin Burvill

SUFFOLK Park cricketer Tobyn Burvill could have a busy few months ahead of him with local and representative cricket ramping up.

Burvill, 17, will line up for North Coast in the Under-19 Country Colts Championships in Coffs Harbour next month.

He is also a top-order batsman at Lennox Head in a team which currently leads the Far North Coast LJ Hooker Competition and appears destined to at least make the semi-finals.

It's been a great result for Burvill considering he was without a club four months ago when Byron Bay couldn't field a team in the top grade because they were short of players.

Lennox Head were expected to be among the top teams but recruited well, with Paul Everingham taking on the coaching role.

"Everything at Lennox has been great so far," Burvill said.

"A few of us were left kind of stranded at the start of season and weren't sure where we were going to go."

A talented player like Burvill was always going to land on his feet, no matter where he went. …
