New Look Home for Show Art; Warwick Artists Group Thrilled to Add More Colour to Community Event

IN AN effort to help create a bigger and better Warwick Show this year, just one of the aspects set to tantalise artistic tastebuds will be the new and improved art pavilion.

On behalf of the Warwick Show Society and with the support of the Warwick Artists Group, Chris Woodd, Gayle Pershouse, Vicki Buttrose, Sue Keong, Dawn Marriage and Sherylyn Roulston are looking forward to the very first opening night.

"In previous years the art has always been in the Doug Feez Pavilion," said Mrs Woodd.

"It has needed to be re-vamped for quite some time and now we have the opportunity to go out on our own.

"We really want to include the community and turn it into an art lover's hub."

Mrs Buttrose said there will be an open night held a week before the show opens, on March 15.

"For a small cost we will let people come and look at the art," she said.

"We will offer people a drink and nibblies.

"We are quite excited because it is a themed night and we hope people enjoy something a bit different. …
