JEEPERS creepers -- I'll bet it's a long time since you heard that golden oldie.

When I think about it, jeepers creepers or plain old "jeepers" is rarely used in speech in this day and age.

Apparently the saying, which is an exclamation for surprise or emotion, originated about 1925.

How did I know that?

Being the computer whiz I am, I simply placed jeepers creepers in my search engine and had a Google.

Truly I never knew that jeepers creepers, a slang phrase was a minced oath expression for Jesus Christ.

Did you know that?

Wikipedia, the free online encyclopaedia, enlightened me even further.

It turns out that good old "jeepers creepers" is indeed versatile.

Jeepers creepers was a popular 1938 song and jazz rendition, with the music written for the movie Going Places.

How ironic that the actor Ronald Reagan starred in Going Places and he sure did that.
