Favourite Movers Keep on Trucking

TONKA trucks, diecast trucks, tractors and board games - Geoff Mackenzie collects them all.

Whether it's in his own neighbourhood or further afield, Mr Mackenzie spends most Saturdays poking around garage and clearance sales hoping to find a new piece for his collection.

"I've never counted them all," Mr Mackenzie said, estimating he might have anywhere from 300 to 500 items is his growing collection.

Some of the toys are repaired and restored and the best are kept inside in the cabinet, out of reach of the grandkids.

While others are stored in boxes in his garage.

He reckons his wife Karen is finally a[approximately]getting used to the idea'.

"I've been at it for a few years now," he said.

Growing up on a farm in western NSW, Mr Mackenzie is especially interested in pieces that remind him of his childhood.

Like his favourite - a 1:16 scale International Harvester and handful of John Deere tractors as well. …
