I SEE standing could make a return to football grounds - well I'm all for it!

Given the choice, I would stand every time.

It was the natural thing to do when I was growing up and for me it is still the best way to watch the game.

You can be more involved. You can shout and point and sway with the action and jump and celebrate easily with other fans when there's a goal or something exciting happens.

That's part and parcel of the atmosphere and that is as much part of why people love going to a game as anything happening on the pitch. For me you can't do all those things so naturally and comfortably when you are sat down.

And when crowds have to sit it is awkward with people shuffling past arriving early or late, or going for tea or a pint or to the toilet.

It's not great being disturbed so often. …
