THE mission for the Toowoomba Cavaliers will be to win and win well when they host Ipswich for the last round of the Webb Shield at Captain Cook Oval 7 tomorrow.

Toowoomba is already assured of a place in the decider against Gold Coast, but the right to host the final could still be up for grabs.

Ipswich has failed to win a game in the Webb Shield this summer and even a double bonus point win over the Cavaliers won't be enough for them to make the final.

But a double bonus point victory to the home side would see Toowoomba leapfrog Gold Coast into first place.

The Cavaliers have lost prolific run-scorer Brian May for tomorrow's clash, but will welcome back former Queensland Country all-rounder Brendan Jones, who is fresh off an innings of 81 for Souths last weekend.

Meanwhile, Toowoomba's Plunkett Cup cricketers will also be chasing bonus points when they host Gold Coast at Captain Cook Oval 6.

The Cavaliers Second XI is currently level on points with second-placed Warehouse, but with an inferior run rate. …
