Seal Pup 'Cybil' Is Spotted Yet Again

FAST?BECOMING a celebrity at the Quayside, this grey seal pup has made yet another appearance.

Delighting passers-by every time he clambers onto the steps of the bridges which cross the River Tyne, the seal was spotted this week on the steps of the High Level Bridge.

Affectionately named Cybil by people working at nearby Tyneside businesses, the cheeky pup was snapped by Lee Hardy as he made his way home from work.

"I'd read about him in the Chronicle last year so I keep an eye out for him because I live in Gateshead and walk over every day for work," said Lee, who is assistant manager at The Stand Comedy Club in Newcastle.

"I was walking home from work at about 3pm when I saw him."

Quick as a flash, Lee seized on the opportunity to get some pictures of the seal, who is making quite a name for himself around the Quayside.

"I'm glad I finally saw him," said Lee, who lives on Gateshead's Quayside. …
