ONCE again the weather was the biggest winner with only three games possible, two in Division One and one in Division Two.

The sole second division game between Fairfield Sports & Social Club and St Mary's College at Grangefield had to be abandoned after 72 minutes.

Fairfield's Ross Ogleby suffered a suspected broken leg with the score at the time 1-0 to St Mary's.

Stockton West End enhanced their Division One promotion push with a 2-1 win against bottom-of-the-table Malleable at The Education Centre in Norton.

West End put the home side on the back foot as they made a bright start, and it was no surprise when they took a 13th minute lead.

They were awarded a free kick on the left wing and the ball was played in to the penalty area, where Malleable's keeper Dave Barr failed to gather the ball and visiting man of the match Carl Kennedy was on hand to score with a simple tap-in.

Stockton went on to dominate the first half but were unable to add to their score as a Malleable defence backed up by their man of the match goalkeeper Brian Chambers held firm. …
