IF THERE were two things Jarrad Duncan lived for, they were cars and motorbikes.

Mates of the 20-year-old Brookwater man tragically killed just days shy of his 21st birthday earlier this month, rallied together at Queensland Raceway's burnout pad at the weekend to paid tribute to their friend.

Best friend Alex Essom, who was with Jarrad moments before the motorbike he was riding colided head on with a Hyundai Elantra in Carole Park industrial area on February 8, said Jarrad had been looking forward to the Madaz Burnouts event held at Willowbank on Saturday.

"He loved cars and bikes -- the only thing he loved more was his girlfriend," Mr Essom said.

"Jarrad and I had been planning this for a while.

"We'd been saving up to take our friend's (Ford Falcon) XC out to the burnouts. We organised this a week before his accident because he didn't have his own burnout car and always wanted to build one.

"He would have been up all night last night. …
