Aged 10, Audrey's Career Is on Screen

WITH Audrey Bush's imagination and Joanna Kambourian's technical skills, this art duo is sure to produce something spectacular.

They have been paired up for Lismore Regional Gallery's Duo Art program.

There are six pairings of a young person with a local artist in the program.

For Audrey, 10, it all started during a Peggy Popart tour where she was asked if she would like to take part in the project.

"I'm doing this because, well first I was interested and I've actually never tried screen printing so I thought it might be nice to try it out," Audrey said.

"I'm also doing it because I would like to become a better artist and learn a few different types of ways of doing that."

For Ms Kambourian, a local artist who specialises in printmaking, it's about collaborating and coming up with new ideas.

"When you're mentoring and assisting and teaching other people they give you so many ideas and they allow you to see what you do in a completely different light," she said. …
