STOCKTON SUNDAY LEAGUE HARDWICK Social beat Greenside 4-2 on penalties to reach a second successive Durham Sunday Cup final.

Last year's runnersup in the competition could have won it in normal time but the Greenside keeper saved Steve Roberts' penalty.

But they made amends in the shootout with Hardwick keeper Darren White saving two spot kicks and Kallum Hannah, James Ward, Craig Bishop and Jamie Owens scored from 12 yards to set up a final date against Hetton Lyons on a date to be arranged.

A depleted Thornaby Jolly Farmers won 1-0 at Stokesley Sports Club to set up a North Riding Sunday Challenge Cup semi-final against Robert Thompson of Thirsk.

Connor Westwood scored the Farmers winner.

Market Tavern won 4-2 on penalties at Grangetown to book a place in the North Riding Sunday County Cup semi-finals.

The score was 2-2 after 90 minutes with Martin Kilburn scoring both Tavern goals. The Royal took advantage of their closes rivals being without games as they moved back to the top of the Division One table with a 6-2 win against Malleable. …
