Harry's Hoping It Will Be Third Time Lucky in National Competition

TEENAGER Harry Teasdale is hoping it will be third time lucky after making it through to a national plumbing competition three years running.

The talented apprentice, who works at HT Energy in Swainby, North Yorkshire, and studies at Redcar & Cleveland College, has won the regional heat of the UK Copper Board National Apprentice of the Year 2014 competition, in conjunction with HIP! Magazine.

He walked away with top marks after completing a complex pipework task, which showcased his plumbing and heating skills.

He was up against 11 apprentices from as far afield as Hull, Grimsby and Newcastle, as well as those from Teesside.

The 19-year-old from Stockton will now go through to the two-day national final in Cheltenham at the end of April. "I'm really chuffed to have won the regional heat for the third time," said Harry.

"Hopefully, it will be third time lucky.

"It would be great to win the national final.

"I enjoy taking part in the competition. …
