JAMES Maniskis had a weekend of golf that most golfers can only dream of.

Playing Saturday's Single Stroke he hit the perfect shot on the Par 3 7th not only to record his first hole-in-one but to receive the $500 Sidewinder Jackpot.

James then teed up in Sunday's inaugural Rotary Club of Maryborough City Golf Day and his team, which included Shaun Hubert, Alex Dreger and Andy Eaves took out the main trophy for the Golfing Team section.

In the non-golfing division, Craig Strange, Malcolm Nock, Luke Clayton and Ashley Nock recorded 51 nett and the team of James Taylor Jnr, Ben Reed, Harry Mason and Linda Davis finished in third place on 52 1/2.

Congratulations should go to Rotary and all their helpers who contributed to making their first charity day a success.

There is no doubt that the ambrose is a popular format among golfers so for all you sporting people out there why not start organising your team for the Fraser Coast Gas Sporting Challenge to be held on Easter Sunday. …
