FASHION'S most influential woman, a powerplayer who can make or break a designer's career with the most imperceptible of headshakes, has declared that Kardashian is kool. On Friday, it was revealed that Anna Wintour had put Kim on the cover of April's American Vogue, along with hubby Kanye. Right now, she's the most influential style icon in the world.

But that's not all Vogue's doing. Haven't you noticed that everyone now looks like Kim Kardashian? That blank, detached porn-star gaze (aka every second selfie face); the sleek glossy hair; the enormous glassy pout (beauty articles now proclaim the return of lipgloss); and the uniform of pencil skirts, crop tops and court shoes. And there's that beige, honeyed skin -- the colour of money -- that testifies to a life spent poolside, beachside, or yacht hopping. Remember when pale was interesting? It's not any more.

But it goes further than the look. Being like KK is a state of mind. Or, as the great parody Twitter persona Kim Kierkegaardashian said: "Every human interpretation is only a misconception, and all my troubles are like a sophism to which I say, OMGGGG O.M.G. I can't even!!!" These are the tribes who are living under the spiritual and stylistic direction of the better half of the #WORLDSMOSTTALKEDABOUTCOUPLE.

THE KARKRASHIANS The Karkrashians get it a little wrong.

The skin tone is less honeyed and moneyed -- more the brash and cash of the sunbed, clothes are too tight or too bright and the cleavage is not quite sufficiently pneumatic to pull off the deep V-neck (one of Kim K's favourite kuts). They score headlines for the wrong reasons: not because they were sitting next to Anna W on a front row, but because they were papped at an unflattering angle coming out of a restaurant. Karkrashian examples include Cowell's squeeze Lauren Silverman and the interchangeable cast of TOWIE.
