GOLD Coast surfer dads Paul and Blair are the last men standing on My Kitchen Rules.

After winning immunity from two knockout rounds on Tuesday, they automatically booked themselves a spot in the top five and this week's upcoming ultimate instant restaurant round.

The humble teachers insisted they never expected to do as well as they had on the reality cooking show.

"We are competitive. We are trying to win. But there was never a point where we thought we were contenders," Paul told APN.

Monday's final knockout round will see Cathy and Anna, Thalia and Bianca and Bree and Jessica facing off in an all-female cook-off for the final two spots in the top five.

Whatever the result, the final round of instant restaurants will see Paul and Blair as the only male competitors left at the dinner table.

"There's not much dude talk going on around the table," Blair, from Tugun, said with a laugh.

"There's a lot of female-based and -driven talk and chit chat. …
