Trindall Secures Rep Nod for South West Country

RUGBY LEAGUE: Killarney Cutters forward John Trindall has been selected for the South West Country side after the Border Bushrangers side competed in the South West Country trials at Miles.

Trindall was selected on the bench after impressing against the South West and Far South West Queensland teams.

"I'm pretty happy about being selected," Trindall said.

"I got selected as a shadow player for the next side on last year.

"I'm hoping to go one better this year."

Trindall said he was expecting to play in the front row.

"I will mostly play front row I think," he said.

"But I might play a bit of second row too."

Having played in the same carnival last year, the Cutters forward is hoping to draw on his experience.

"I think it will be a bit tougher this year for spots," Trindall said.

"I think there are probably some better players than last year.

"I will definitely be looking to call on last year's experience for this year. …
