POLOCROSSE: When Hannah Scobie takes the field for the Queensland Under-16s side in the Barastoc Interstate Series this weekend, she will know the opposition as well as her own team mates.

Scobie played for New South Wales before switching allegiances to Queensland after her family moved to Blackall.

"The New South Wales team will be pretty much made up of all the girls I played with before," Scobie said.

"There might be a bit of tension there.

"I'm not really thinking about it though; I'm just focused on playing well."

If any tension boils over, it will not bother Scobie.

"Probably the thing I like most about polocrosse is that it's rough," she said.

"I like that I get to ride my horse as well but I just like the physicality of it."

Scobie, who said she likes scoring goals, has not played since late last year but is confident of avoiding any rustiness.

"It's the first carnival for the season and my first since the beginning of September last year," Scobie said. …
