ALAN PARDEW says he won't "hide" after Newcastle United's run of abysmal results.

Fan unrest has been rife after the Magpies' poor form in 2014 resulted in just four wins in 17 games.

The Toon Army made their feelings clear at Stoke City last weekend.

Now Pardew wants them to back his side against Swansea City.

He said ahead of the game: "I have not hid away from it.

"I have been out on the town all week.

"I've plenty of kids telling me I won't be here after Saturday, our fans.

"You can't hide. That's my message - there is no place to hide.

"We have 52,000 fans willing you to win.

"But we need to put in something that gives them something to hang on to."

And Pardew insisted he would not walk away.

He said: "No. I think as a manager I have had runs like this before.

"In fact I had a worse run than this at Chartlton where you just can't see a win coming. …
