Defending Champs Next for Jacksonville; Arizona Averages 65 Points a Game, Is Tough at Home

PHOENIX | While most teams struggle to play well at the US Airways Center, the Jacksonville Sharks haven't been intimidated.

The home field for the two-time defending Arena Football League Arizona Rattlers is where the Sharks (1-1) won the ArenaBowl in 2011 on the final play of the game. Earlier that year, Jacksonville lost its season opener at Arizona in overtime.

The Rattlers (2-0) still are the dominant team in the league, averaging 65 points a game this season. Arizona is 24-2 at home, dating to the 2011 season.

Jacksonville has given up 35.5 points a game this year.

"They're the defending champs; they're a real good team," Sharks linebacker Aaron Robbins said. "But's nothing we can't handle. We have to step our game up all the way around if we want to come home with a victory."

Although the Sharks gave up a kickoff return for a touchdown and missed seven point-after-touchdown attempts, they still held San Antonio to 22 points. Defensive back Micheaux Robinson said the Sharks can't expect the same at Arizona. …
