A CHARITY is inviting the Sunshine Coast to pay forward a small act of kindness.

The Kindness Project was founded based on the great value of simple acts of goodwill, and its latest initiative will aid victims of domestic violence.

Charity founder Chris Michel said the drive called for travel-sized toiletry donations that will be distributed in care-packages across refuges along with unused pillows, blankets and teddy bears for children.

"Last year we did a drive to help the homeless and it was such a big success we thought we'd do it for another group that needed help, one that would need the things we could give," he said.

"When it comes to violence against women and children, anything we can to do put a smile on (victims') faces and make their day better is inspiring."

Mr Michel said the charity had received over 25,000 items but were aiming for 30,000 to give to women and children in domestic violence refuges in Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich and Warwick. …
