I'M not sure how NSW Deputy Premier Andrew Stoner will handle his new North Coast portfolio based on a performance I saw at an anti CSG rally in Sydney. This rally was organised by the NSW Farmers Association.

There wasn't a dope smoking hippie or beer swilling bogan among them and as it turned out it was a real fair dinkum family affair.

As I walked around the crowd and listened to their stories and photographed these protesters, it was plain to see they were distressed and angry at the way they were being treated by the NSW coalition. And they had every right to be angry because their farms and communities were now under attack by the very people they voted into power, and all for global mining profit. I don't know about you, but it really rattled me when I saw someone old enough to be my pop shedding a tear because the potential threat of losing his family farm now comes from the whim of a politician, and not a drought. …
