JUSTIN Alley continues to carve his way into the world of music one note at a time, not that anyone expected anything different of the local musical legend that began his bass guitar career at the age of 10.

After performing in talent quests, school bands and more across the Warwick cultural scene, Justin had set his sights on Brisbane.

"Street Pieces was originally a third year university project," he said.

The group founded in 2012 were required to perform only one show, however after great reviews they decided to continue professionally.

Since the rock group formed they have played at venues in Brisbane and Toowoomba like The Zoo, the globe theatre and Bon Amici.

Earlier this year Street Pieces released their first EP The Other Side, produced by ARIA award-winning producer Magoo at Applewood Lane Studios.

The band itself aims for two gigs a month and are constantly creating.

"We are even talking about a tour sometime later this year," Justin said. …
