WESTLAWN endured an unhappy return to North Coast Football Premier League action despite being the first side to score against Coffs City United this season.

It seemed as though the Tigers suffered from the two-week absence of football, lacking sharpness and looking lethargic at crucial times.

However, Westlawn was still in the game midway through the first half. It wasn't until a flurry of CCUFC goals towards the end of the first half that the game was obviously over for Westlawn.

Westlawn's moment came when tough-tackling midfielder Daniel Usher scored a screamer to make it 2-1, volleying the ball into the roof of the net from outside the box with his weaker left foot. …
