AT HALCRO Street Community Centre you can do just about anything you desire from exercise, making fiddly bits, listening to guest speakers or watching a movie.

Their Thursday Coffee and Chat mornings are always vibrant with laughter, chatter and entertainment.

Last Thursday they celebrated Breast Cancer Awareness with the Biggest Morning Tea as a fundraising venture and the room was packed with about 65 folk ready for a great morning.

You are never too young to play party games so pin the teabag on the giant teacup, guessing the number of coffee beans in the jar and how many chillies could be seen on the apron, made for a lot of fun for those who entered.

All money raised at the morning tea went to cancer research.

The highlight of the morning was a beautiful Irish song repertoire by Cr Stuart Taylor who said he felt just a little bit nervous in a small room.

"I've sung at Culture Fest so I'm used to big audiences and have sung to around 7000 but found it very different altogether in front of this smaller audience," Cr Taylor said. …
