I can't believe how great our young Australian surfer has been at the past two competitions.

In case you didn't know, Sally has smashed it and gone back-to-back; firstly taking the Rio Pro and now the event in Fiji to stake her claim for this year's world title.

And she beat a heap of great surfers in the process; last, but most certainly not least, another Aussie Stephanie Gilmore.

I must admit the final was a little bit lacklustre in Fiji; both girls absolutely buggered after surfing the heavy conditions all week.

The quick turnaround would not have been easy either, not having as much break as the boys, who will kick-off their own event in Fiji on Sunday.

Up until the final yesterday in Fiji, it was electric, and Sally was able to dictate her match-ups with big waves early, including a 9.07 in her semi to really put the pressure on and not need to do anything spectacular towards the end.

Not only has Sally won twice in a row, she has made it two wins, two thirds and a fifth from the five events; which has her very much at the pointy end of the world championship ratings. …
