BRENT Higgins, principal of Ray White Mooloolaba, has sold his past nine auctions under the hammer and will be hoping to keep the record in place today at 4pm when taking 3/10 Akeringa Pl, Mooloolaba, to the auction floor.

These nine sales range from $365,000 for an apartment to a home for $1.5million, including another selling for more than $1million.

"A property at 50 Douglas St, Mooloolaba, was the most memorable," Mr Higgins said.

"Since then, sales for Mooloolaba homes over $600,000 have been far more consistent, providing credible information the market is in full recovery.

"I certainly saw a change in buyer confidence and urgency after Douglas St."

"After a tough start and cagey, low-ball bidding, the highest bidder had dug his heels in well below reserve. After lengthy negotiations with both seller and bidder, thankfully the deal was done, and the gavel came down in front of the TV cameras. Phew.

"Back to Hilton Tce, Noosaville for Trevor Elliot and Narelle Leis, of Hang Loosa Noosa, at 3.30pm to auction three lovely townhouses. A great turnout and spirited bidding coupled with yet more private negotiation saw all three sell under the hammer in only 29 minutes. …
