BRINGING Katy Perry to Ipswich is on the agenda for the Ipswich Mayor's Carols by Candlelight Fund. However, Perry has an asking price of around $500,000 a show. So, if she's too expensive, what other headline act would you like to see at Christmas? Or could the money be better spent elsewhere?

IT WOULD be good for tourism in Ipswich. Make the tickets free for people living in Ipswich council area, and charge people who aren't in Ipswich area. Would make the money back in no time if they do it that way. And the businesses would thrive as well. Obviously she, or the music star they end up choosing, wouldn't be the only band playing, and the other bands could be local bands. JOSH CUMNER
