SHOLA AMEOBI will wait until after the World Cup to resolve his future.

The formerNewcastle United is out of contract and without a club.

But he has been linked with both Sydney FC and New York City FC since the season ended.

| Ameobi, who would face |Newcastle in pre-season if he opted for Sydney, is | preparing for the World Cup with | Nigeria, but has told those close to the camp h | he is focusing on nothing but the finalsin Brazil at the moment.

And while some countries are allowing players to kick on with transfer plans at the moment, Ameobi is yet to decide on his future.

There has also been talk in the last 12 months that Ameobi is wanted by Hull City boss Steve Bruce.

Nigeria's World Cup campaign kicks off against Iran on June 16 in Group F, with games against Argentina and Bosnia to follow. …
