Almost one year since the doors opened at Middlesbrough's Brassiere Hudson Quay, the restaurant is now leading the way for a young generation of foodie-inspired apprentices. Located at Middlehaven, Brassiere Hudson Quay has been busy showcasing its culinary skills to students of Middlesbrough College's hospitality and catering course. Think Outside The Box was a cooking demonstration featuring Brassiere's head chef, Joe Taylor, and one of the restaurant's talented apprentices, Brandon Veitch | Fourteen pupils from Saltburn Learning Campus formed part of a global group of thousands of participants who took part in the 2014 Food Revolution Day, a worldwide campaign fronted by the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation of the UK & USA and The Good Foundation in Australia. Two Year 10 students and 12 Year 6 pupils from Huntcliff School and Saltburn Primary School joined forces to try to break the Guinness World Record of the biggest live cooking lesson, as well as celebrate the importance of cooking good food from scratch and raising awareness of health and happiness | Members of the 1st Eaglescliffe Brownies received a cheque for PS200 thanks to Sainsbury's matched giving scheme, Local Heroes. …
