Ben Gregg Is Determined to Tame Capricorn Coast

WILD-HAIRED Southside United defender Ben Gregg is determined to tame a Capricorn Coast side set on bouncing back from a shock defeat last weekend.

One-time Wesley Hall Cup favourites, Capricorn Coast suffered a shock 4-3 loss to second-to-last placed Emerald Eagles in Emerald last weekend, while Southside United were 3-0 winners over Berserker.

The wiry left back will partner ex-Central Queensland Capras second rower Simon Gregory, fellow towers Jade Dilleen and Shaun Jasperson in the second-to-last line of defence for Southside United when they tackle Capricorn Coast at Apex Park tomorrow night.

Smaller in stature than his defensive comrades, the slightly-built Gregg has been a vital part in building the Central Queensland Premier League's best defence in 2014.

"I'm the odd one out -- they're both pretty solid blokes," 23-year-old Gregg said.
