BRIDES to be have walked the aisles of the Bundaberg Wedding and Formal Expo in preparation for their big day.

PCYC volunteers and event organisers Merril Gardner and Wendy Irwin have been co-ordinating the annual event since 2007 and were rapt with the feedback from visitors and exhibitors at yesterday's event.

"We're extremely happy," Mrs Irwin said.

"We had 68 exhibitors this year including a few new ones - we branched out with the ANZ bank and Aussie Home Loans and even had a real estate agent."

"It's still one stop shopping."

Mrs Irwin said the atmosphere on the day was what kept her coming back each year.

"Helping brides to know what's available in a non-committed environment is important," she said.

"I also enjoy seeing all the exhibitors networking together."

While brides and their future husbands made up much of the 700 visitors, these days formals are big business and Mrs Irwin said the expo provided plenty for those in the market for formal attire. …
