'THE FOREIGNER' ARRIVES ON STAGE

STORMY WEATHER, TREES CAUSE OUTAGES

Severe thunderstorms brought rain, high winds and numerous lightning strikes to Clay Electric's 14-county service area over the weekend. Most of the outages were restored within an hour, but in some cases outages were prolonged due to the extensive damage caused by large trees pulling down co-op lines and equipment.

NEW SMOOTHIE SHOP IN TOWN

CJ's Smoothie Bar & Grill recently opened in the shopping center at 796 S. Sixth St. The shop offers sandwiches, smoothies, Paninis, wraps and an all-you-can-eat salad bar.

BARKIN' BINGO IS BACK

Clay Humane's next Barkin' Bingo fundraiser is 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Senor Wings, 700 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park. There will be a $5 minimum donation for six games. May's bingo raised $300 to bring the total to $648 of the $1,600 goal for surgery equipment.

WATER RESOURCE PLAN WORKSHOP

The county Utility Department will host a workshop from 10 a.m.-noon Thursday to get input from stakeholders to help develop an Integrated Water Resource Plan. The workshop will be at the St. Johns County Administration Building, 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine. For more, (904) 209-0655.
