Wary Bryant Set to Lift His Beloved Isis

WHEN Isis talisman Jimmy Bryant ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in a trial game before the 2014 Bundaberg Rugby League started, his club knew it would have to find another player who had the pride and passion to inspire the team.

Most players would have been ruled out for most of the season, but not Bryant.

The frustration he felt as his team struggled through the opening rounds was evident when he spoke about his team's form and while the injury might have been enough to keep most players down and out for the season Bryant knew he had to make a comeback.

Bryant made a tentative return to A-grade rugby league at the weekend against Easts and might be in the middle of the action tomorrow when Isis plays Brothers at Childers Showgrounds.

He said the build up to the game was tough to go through and the hardest part of getting back on the field was thinking it was possible.

"I was pretty nervous about it all week," he said. …
