Roos Coach Says Mayne Can Go through Undefeated

Aussie Rules: Maroochydore coach Brett Maloney believes Mayne is capable of completing a perfect season after thrashing his side 15.21 (111) to 7.8 (50) yesterday.

Despite sitting third on the ladder, Maroochydore was completely outclassed by the Brisbane-based QFA North competition leader.

Maloney said second-placed Noosa and third-placed Kedron would not be a match for Mayne if the Tigers maintained their near-perfect level of play.

"If they keep reproducing week in, week out the sort of form they showed today, they could go through undefeated, for sure," Maloney said.

His only criticism of the Tigers was that they were inaccurate in front of goal.

"It could have been more," he said.

"They were playing really well, but that's just a reflection of where we're at.

"We're a young team and the good thing is that we are getting experience.

"We are not at the level of the top teams in the competition and the performance showed that. …
