SOME time ago Middlesbrough was described as the worst town in which to live and this was wrong in my opinion. We all must take some responsibility for where we live.

I have lived in my home in Coulby Newham for only two months, yet already I have had to ring environment services more times than I would have liked.

A small area of woods, adjacent to my home seems a hot spot for fly tipping. I have requested some sort of surveillance, I am told resources are short.

Surely prevention is always better than cure. It must be costing the taxpayer a fortune to clear the rubbish, with the resources that are needed to clear it up.

I have lived in various parts of Coulby Newham for nearly 28 years and never seen fly tipping as bad as it is now, I ask myself why? Is it because of the new charge that has been imposed on residents to have their rubbish collected? …
