$2.8M Project Starts; Special Guests Turn Sod at Site of New School Buildings

COOLOOLA Christian College, on Gympie's Southside, is undertaking a $2.8million construction program to construct two new buildings.

Invited guests inspected the two exciting projects last Friday.

Member for Gympie David Gibson and Gympie Mayor Ron Dyne toured the new constructions at the college with principal Leanne McClintock, and turned a ceremonial sod to mark the occasion.

Mrs McClintock said the projects were part of the overall building plan of the college, but had been made possible with the assistance of state and federal funding.

"We are very grateful to have received support from the State and Federal governments, and this has enabled us to move ahead with these buildings," she said.

"One building will provide four excellent new classrooms for the primary school, an office area, withdrawal room and an open plan learning area."

She said the other building would provide new facilities for the college's Year 7 students next year. …
