RUGBY UNION: The Brumbies will go into tonight's must-win game against the Force at GIO Stadium with a massive advantage -- six experienced players will return to the action.

Pat McCabe, Matt Toomua, Tom McVerry, Josh Mann-Rea, Sam Carter and Joe Tomane have all been included, with the winner to survive and play finals.

While the desperation will be high in this final-round clash, so will the nostalgia.

Brumbies No.8 Ben Mowen will equal George Gregan's record of 49 caps as captain, while halfback Nic White will earn his 50th cap.

"To us it's not a regular-round match -- it's the start of a finals campaign," Mowen (pictured) said.

"It'll be a good challenge for us -- their defence has been a cornerstone of their success this year, and Hodgson (Force back-rower Matt Hodgson) is one of leaders in the competition in pilfers.

"We've got to make sure we deny him the contest there and not let him in; because once he's in he's good enough to turn it over. …
