Dalby Grower Makes Finals of Cotton Industry Awards

A DALBY cotton grower has been named as one of the three finalists in the 2014 Cotton Industry Awards' coveted Chris Lehmann Trust Young Achiever of the Year.

Matthew McVeigh of McVeigh Brothers Partnership has been named for his significant contribution to the Australian cotton industry.

The Chris Lehmann Trust Young Achiever of the Year Award promotes the development of young people in Australian agriculture and recognises the hard work and dedication of those who help shape the future of the Australian cotton industry. It is sponsored by Bayer CropScience.

The other finalists are Gwydir Valley Irrigators Association executive officer Zara Lowien, Moree, and Heath McWhirter, senior cotton agronomist at Elders in Griffith.
