New Help for Home Projects; Workshop Aims to Better Equip Consumers

LACK of information about the building process is often a major stress factor for home owners and can be a trigger for disputes and miscommunication.

Doing something to overcome the problem, Master Builders has launched a new workshop designed to arm consumers with the knowledge they need to better navigate the home-building process.

Anyone who has built or renovated their home will tell you it can be complicated, with the process frequently exacerbated by the absence of information and clear steps and processes for the home owner.

Master Builders Sunshine Coast regional manager Michael Hopkins said giving home owners a more thorough understanding of the building process, and helping them to know what to expect, would help them through the various stages of building.

"It will improve communication between builders and their clients and hopefully reduce stress, paving the way to a smoother and happier build," he said.
